Former students of the Scolapios, on the fiftieth anniversary of their promotion.
On the occasion of the fiftieth anniversary of the promotion of the 1966-1967 academic year, a group of alumni from the Scolapios of that generation met again yesterday. In total, about forty former high school students attended the meeting.
The program began at 11 a.m. with a guided tour of Cardinal’s College. At twelve o’clock the attendees moved to the Abadía da Cova winery in Saviñao. After tasting a wine they returned to Monforte, where they had their meal scheduled at three in the afternoon at the Hotel Cardinal.
The idea came from Benxamín Macía and Jesús Ovidio Pérez Reñones, the promoters of this meeting. “Ten years ago we came up with the idea of seeing each other. It had been forty years since I knew about you two others, so I decided to try to locate them all, although it was difficult. In 2007 we held the first meeting, ”explains Benxamín Macía.
